screen resolution?

what would be a good one to use i have a Dell monitor 20" wide screen.

Hmm...

I think 1280x800...that's what my laptop widescreen is.

/-EDIT-\ But I don't know what the size for the screen is in inches, so if that looks big, and you don't have Large Icons on (Vista does this by default), go for the next size up (whatever that is)

You should be able to know what the native resolution is by the physical menu button on your monitor... should be somewhere in there.

Go as high as you can Widescreen Res wise.. i use 1440x900

If it's an LCD, most DEFINITELY find out what it's Native Resolution (should be in manual...) is and use that!

Yeah, the thing with mine is Compaq did it for me when I got the laptop, and I just looked at the thing just to see what it was at (planning to Linuxify it at the time, but the silly thing wouldn't make recovery discs!)
