Those have so many names, but that picture (with the marines holding two of em up) makes it seem like they are huge, they are no bigger than a small dinner plate.

Sun Spider / scorpion, Wind spider / scorpion, Camel Spider. Take your pick...

Are infact not a spider nor scorpion, but their own group called Solifugids.

One thing i noticed was how they eat. Spiders usually inject venom which breaks down the internal tissues of what its eating and sucks it dry.
This camel spider, however, you can see it literally munching away at what it eats.

Some more spiders with cool features :

Bolas Spider
(Video), has a very unique way of catching its prey, think cowboys and a lasso.

Gladiator/Ogrefaced/Net-Casting Spider
(video) is another cool one with a unique way of catching its prey.

Cave Spider
(Video) I just love waching these things burrow.

Golden Wheel Spider
(video) Literally cartwheels its way from danger at the equivalent speed of a car going 300kmph.

That was actually quite interesting. That gladiator spider is freaky! Those huge eyes, yuck!
That cartwheeling spider was funny lol.

Also regarding the Camel Spider pictures...

That one of a bite is not of the bite of a Camel Spider.

Its a picture of a bite of the Brown Recluse Spider, approximately 2 weeks after the intial bite, and left untreated.

Camel Spiders are non-venomous.
