Thinking too much about your child's future?
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:02:25 AM »
Clicky

This commercial, even though I'm only 20 and still in college, really touched me.  I don't know why, but it just seems funny and true at the same time.
You blame me?  Remember it had to get past 10 other players before I saw the ball.

Thanks to Spidey for this sig!                                                                                                                  .

There's a similar one running here where it's the other way around: A little baby girl is asking her dad for the keys to the car so she can go out with her girlfriend (... and after a bit of grilling by dad, she admits "Derek too!"  ::) ) and he grudgingly gives her the keys. But when the shot goes from him with the keys to her, she's now 20-something years old and says "thanks dad!" and leaves.

Then later, after the voice-over for whateveritisthey'reselling, a little boy walks in, grabs a coat of a chair and heads for the door. "Where are you going?" asks dad. "'Work." little boys says, coat in hand, walking out the garage door.

"They grow up fast." or some-such is the tag line.

Very clever, and YES, VERY true!

Interesting how this ad does it the other way, too!

I think planning ahead is key.. I mean look at me i failed to plan so I planned to fail and look where i am going to school with out knowing what i want to do. So plan ahead look into everything and don't be afraid to try new things you never know you may come to like one of those new things.

Thanks BigmanJT!                                                              Thanks Spood!
