There's a similar one running here where it's the other way around: A little baby girl is asking her dad for the keys to the car so she can go out with her girlfriend (... and after a bit of grilling by dad, she admits "Derek too!"
) and he grudgingly gives her the keys. But when the shot goes from him with the keys to her, she's now 20-something years old and says "thanks dad!" and leaves.
Then later, after the voice-over for whateveritisthey'reselling, a little boy walks in, grabs a coat of a chair and heads for the door. "Where are you going?" asks dad. "'Work." little boys says, coat in hand, walking out the garage door.
"They grow up fast." or some-such is the tag line.
Very clever, and YES, VERY true!
Interesting how this ad does it the other way, too!
