Console question.

Hi,

I was wondering if it would be possible to insert messages into your console so that the console displays the messages in the chat. As example:

FUR: nice shot!
fred: thanks man
FUR: np
console: For more information about our clan vizit: www.**-***.***.**
fred: haha headshot! pwned

Unfortunately Halo is not very friendly when it comes to things like that. Really annoying.

As far as im aware, the console is completely separate from the chat function and does not support its own chat. I think some modders were working on something like this in a multi function program for Custom Edition and had said they were able to do it for PC too, but that was last year and have not seen any update on it. Possibly hit a brick wall after the 1.08 update.

This is why us race clans use "3rd party?" programs to auto display rules.

Yes, and in Halo CE DS's you can also: Display a custom MOTD that is displayed for each player joining; display the chat in the console window; AND you can log the contents of the console window (INCLUDING ALL DISPLAYED CHAT) to a file... that auto-archives itself!

P.S. NONE of the above-mentioned features exist in Halo Combat Evolved, however....
