Gears Of War Problem
« on: August 30, 2009, 08:56:49 AM »
Ok I am trying to install Gears of war. After installation it tells me it cant run the game with a Modified executable file. I have checked around and apparently there is a patch that should fix it. I have the patch downloaded and now my computer doesnt recognize the file type so I cant open it to run it. HHHEEEEELLLPPPP!!!!!!!  ;D

What is the file type? Is it a exe file, RAR files or some random file?

More likely it would require you to copy and paste that file into your local Gears of War directory (C drive > Program files etc). Did this patch come with any instructions?

It was a wierd file type I think it was MMIE or something like that. If I go and look at the filetype it says unknown.

Okay.  I looked into this and found the patch required to fix this "certificate expiration" problem.  It is a plain-old .exe file.

I have PMd you the link to it, Cool, and other, related links as well.
