GIMP Backgrounds

Hey everyone,
I'm just wondering how to create a really good backround without using any picture from the internet or anything like that.
just using the tools in the program.

Try downloading some brushes from here and basically go on from there, brushes make up most of my sigs and all I really do is play around with selections and different effects, till' I get something I like.

Remember also the history tab, in your, layer, channels, paths, undo, window it's pretty useful if you want to go a fair way back

Look up some really cool tutorials. There are some awesome ones, if I find a cool one, I'll link you.

I made my current background with GIMP. but then again, its just quotes from my favourite band
