new movie sherlock holmes

last night i saw Sherlock Holmes it was terrible, slow moving, and i felt as if i was watching harry potter. what do you think

I was EXTREMELY disappointed by this movie!

After all the critics built it up to be a fantastic 4 and a half star movie it left me feeling cheated.

After it was over we all kinda like looked at each other like...wow really.....this is the movie that got better reviews than Avatar. (which sounds outstanding)

When I think of 4 star movies I think of Forest Gump, The Green Mile, (Woot go Tom Hanks!) Titanic, may I go on. Movies that you never forget.

It didn't satisfy the drama lover in me (Forrest Gump) or the Action Junkie in me (The Terminator) or the End of the world fearing person in me (Interdependence Day *although I enjoyed the War of the Worlds record much more, the movies I did not enjoy*) or the Sci-Fi lover in me (Star Wars) or the old fashioned action dude in me (The Lord of the Rings) or the mystery/suspense enthusiast in me (Taken) ............. well this has become more about my Favourite movies now, but anyway.....

Sherlock Holmes is good, but not as good as you expect.

WOOT going to see Avatar in 3D at the IMAX theatre this week!!!!.

I felt, it was too long and boring. I'm not much of a crime genre enthusiast.

No way,  Sherlock Holms was amazing!
It really appeals for the people who enjoy crime films, e.g. Oceans series, with a bit of magic/mystery put in.
5* i loved it, then again i rarely go to a movie and give it below 2*

What was wrong with Harry Potter (The Most Recent One) IMO was they turned it into a teen romance story. They expanded what was only ever a subplot in the book, and made it the driving plot in the movie. If I wanted to see a teen romance movie, I'd watch Twilight. The "magic" of Harry Potter is the...well...magic, and the things that make the wizarding world interesting and different. Also, they left out alot from the book. Now, I understand they can't put everything from the book in, but it seems kinda like a slap in the face to the idea of Harry Potter to leave those things out and massively explode the little love stories.

I don't agree however that Sherlock Holmes and the newest Harry Potter movie were disappointing for the same reasons, not at all.

I mean, as a long time fan of Harry Potter (I can't count the number of times I've read and re-read all the books, and I own all the movies) I still enjoyed it, and will continue to see the future HP Films in the theatre.

Sherlock Holmes, although disappointing, is worth a rent for sure.

I gotta agree with  MrT (copyright symbol) :yesyes:

I didn't have any preconceived expectations before I saw it, which is why I think I enjoyed it so much.  In my opinion, it was a modern day version of a good ol' fashioned swashbuckling adventure movie.

Well I kinda likee Harry Potter lol... Didnt watch Sherlock but I was about to! I watched Avatar instead lolz, next is Book of Eli (became fan of Denzel cuz of my dad, and i like his other world-ending movies) , Toothfairy (Fan of The Rock ;D), OR Spy Next Door (JACKIE CHAN, GEORGE LOPEZ, Hannah Montana's dad!-  :love: em lol)

I kinda like fantasy,
