B-b-b-bump. Figured I'd bump this since some people, like myself, may want to take advantage of the clearance sales at Borders nationwide (QQ so sad). I've spent way too much money on books this summer... (where the word hundreds comes into play). But anyway, only read one of his novels so far, but Nabakov uses a writing style that I quite enjoyed in the one that I read. The Silmarillion was also pretty enjoyable. There are parts in it where it can be difficult to get through, such as times when it's detailing lineages, but the second half doesn't really have any of that at the least and is probably the better half. The novel Lost Names: Scenes from a Korean Boyhood by Richard E. Kim was one I read for one of my classes last semester and covers roughly the time period of WWII and Japan's occupation of Korea. I thought it was enjoyable enough. Also, as always, Dostoevsky Dostoevsky Dostoevsky! Ez best. I've got like 3 feet of novels to go through, so I'll likely have more as time goes.
