i want to get the original halo for xbox so i can pplay with friends on split screen. but i was wondering,does halo work for xbox 360? if so do you need xbox live?cause i dont have live.

i got halo2 for xbox to work on a 360 so i see no reason why halo1 shouldn't work. although i cant remember if i ever tried it.

or you can just dowload the game from the online store and not have to go buy a hard copy

i think it sells there for like $9.99 US and im pretty sure they have upped the graphics (everything was always blurry in the xbox version)

Na they havent upped the graphics they have alway been high resolution much like the pc version however due to the limitation of the old XBOX  and the fact that it only outputed in low resolution standerd definition it cut the game back were as the new XBOX 360 is full high definition and out puts in full high def 1080p there for alows the game to run as it was ment to with sharper more defined graphics.


As for it working it worked fine for me on the xbox 360  but it playes better on a PC

Well BruinX used to have the limited addition Halo 3 xbox 360 which alowed you to play the orgional 2 on it. But i hav e eard that you may need to live to play 1 and 2 on the new xbox 360.
