Youtube & Firefox small issue
« on: October 17, 2007, 12:38:36 PM »
Not sure how common this problem is, i cant view the video screens on youtube with Firefox, but i can with Explorer. Theres the same issue with a 2 other media dumps i visit but most of the time its fine, its just Youtube and a couple of other sites.

I get a message :

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Turned on and have the latest version.

Sorry could one please move this to the Tech Support.

Do you have the latest version of FF? I believe they fixed this issue in 2.0.0.7

Might want to update to the newest version, Mxy.  It has some really nice features you'd like.  Not to mention it corrects a few issues that made me grumble in 1.5X.  2c

Seconded. Session restore is a useful thing when your browser crashes as often as mine ^_^

Rail, is it just YouTube that's faulty, or do other flash items have problems as well? If they do, try redownloading Flash. Could be that some file's become corrupted along the line.

FYI, guys: I DO use both versions (1.5.x and 2.x) you see, but I have to keep 1.5.x as my "default" one on this machine due to webpage, etc. testing that I do. (I ALWAYS assure my stuff is compatible with older versions that ppl might use....)

So I'm not "missing" anything that's in FF 2.x!

Thx for the advice, tho!

As for the thread's subject: Ya, it's a crying SHAME that different browsers yield different results.  It was never supposed to be that way....  :-\  :toughguy:

I find it hilarious that they weren't "dumb" terminals until the "smart" ones appeared!
