I agree Steam is probably the best way to buy games.... So far that I've had it (since 2007) I've never had issues. The best part is that when I want free space I can start up steam and tell it to erase any data for the game I have installed, then when I want to play the game, I can reinstall it in less than an hour without all the redoing the cd key or inserting a cd, I just right click the game I want and click install/play and I'm good to go. If you ever have issues I'd suggest going to the steam website and searching for the issue, you'll fix it right away, like I bought battlefield 2 the complete collection and there is an error where steam encrypts the cd key so the game won't be able to find the cd key properly in which case I couldn't play online for the longest time.
