Re: For those of you in the UK, Part 2: The Continuation
« Reply #15 on: November 07, 2012, 06:27:10 AM »
So after a thrilling match in which my team was narrowly beaten by such underhand tricks as them knowing slightly more than us, we return for a second chance this Monday! Same time, same place, better result (I hope!). Don't forget to tune in... and those of you unfortunate enough not to be in the UK will be able to read a wonderful blow-by-blow account  (up for next year's Pulitzer Prize). Or just catch it on the inevitable YouTube link...

I'll be in the same seat as before, but I'm betting that Thermopylae won't come up again. This time, watch out for the so-called "Tsetse fly incident" towards the end...

Sorry Mil. :embarrassing:

And Marty, who's to say what can happen on Monday? It might be a close match, or a walkover - or somewhere in between. They might win, we might win. You never know!

The result of Monday's game is hardly a secret. With a quick google you can find the result in seconds. So saying that I won should, at least for this match, hardly be a shock. I wouldn't particularly want to draw attention to two losses, now, would I?

No idea when the next match will be, watch this space!

Once more unto your screens, Dear Friends. To be (or not to be) answering the questions. Is this three60 I see before me? And yet more seriously mangled Shakespeare quotes as I think of them.

Anyway. This Monday, same time, same place. A slightly different t-shirt.

Well la di da Mxy - I get loads faster than people when I'm sitting comfortably at home without cameras pointed at me!! :P :P

Anyway thank you all, it was nerve-wracking and then some at the time. Darn-near collapsed after that wrong answer of "Supersonic". I knew it was wrong even as I said it. But worked out OK in the end, eh?

Hypersonic was followed by three easy Einstein questions too!  You must have been gutted.  Good comeback though.  I liked some of the answers you guys guessed when you didn't know the answer, kept your cool.
