Help if possible.

So recently i picked up my disk of Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium wars. Decided to install the game. Well i ran into the issue. it has become apparent that the disk has a few scratches on it and appears to have corrupted the SP folder. meaning when the game is trying to install it just stops and does nothing. so i decided to copy all the files off the disk onto my desktop and it will not transfer that one file. I guess the question is.. Is it legal to just get the Sp.cab folder or is it possible to get it from somewhere. I can prove that i own the game and such. any suggestions and any information will be helpful thanks.

Don't know much but... I think any rights and privledges you have is tied into the disc you have in your possession; so I don't believe it would be right or legal? to obtain a copy other than perhaps writing the company and requesting a second disc or using disc repair kit perhaps. No the license is tied to the CD key, not the media.  If it's scratched there's nothing wrong with getting those files elsewhere, if someone can get them to you.

rather than searching for the one file dude your better off looking for the whole disc ISO and install it that way, it'll be alot less hassle for you cos if you do find the one file you then have to make your own ISO/disc to install the game from.

anyway.. GL buddy :)

But BE SURE TO VIRUS SCAN anything you download BEFORE opening, running, or installing it!

I always do run virus scans on all things i download. Ever since we got a nasty virus on a old computer long ago. and i think i found a site for the iso.
