HP laptop hard disk

Recently came into an issue with our home laptop. My brother was playing a game and a notification popped up saying something about he hard disk not being connected. When you turn the laptop on it comes up to a screen saying hard disk not found.  i looked at the link it gave me to try some things. Tried to reset bios to default. no luck. system restore no luck. its saying no operating system is there and no hard disk. its asking for a boot disk in which i do not have. or at least don't know where its at.

Sounds like your HDD bit the dust... I take it the computer was getting slower and slower the past few weeks?
