I was browsing around for some arcane XP tweak I need and found this amazingly on-the-nose long page of great information about all sorts of Windoze XP tricks and tweaks (http://home.comcast.net/~SupportCD/XPMyths.html) that people (sometimes? / too often?) recommend - without knowing if they REALLY ARE HELPFUL!
