Title: Who would play soccer if it was later?
Post by: BFM_ColWlkr on July 30, 2010, 04:51:47 PM: Starting the next season, soccer and captain scrims will no longer overlap (i.e. Soccer season ends, captain season begins, captain season ends, soccer begins, etc.). As such, the idea has come up to start the games later, possibly between 7 and 8 PM CST.

You should make it later, because most people have other things to do during the day. And I know for me, around 6:30 PM was really inconvenient.

Post by: BFM_Thunder on July 31, 2010, 12:23:42 PM: to me the current time is 0.30am so moving it to 1.30am or 2.30am still wont be as late as the CPT scrims which are at 3am (8pmCST).

just aslong as its gonna be hold on a friday or saturday i would be able to be there...

i like having captain's and soccer scrim seasons at the same time tho; how about soccer matches on fridays and captain's scrims on saturdays? :zoot:

Becaus at the moment its on in the mornings on Saturday (for me) so I can't participate because of sport. If it was on a Saturday night (for America) that means I would be able to play becaus I don't have sport on Sunday.

As the 1st message says, the Capt Scrims would not be going on during the soccer season ;)

Post by: BFM_Lemming on August 06, 2010, 08:23:25 AM: Having soccer at a later time kinda makes things difficult for me, it's already at a late time as it is with the time zones and so on. So 6 or 7 is fine with me, but really anything later than that and I will have to stop playing =/

Another one is, it takes a long time to get the matches started, or at least it used to when I was directly involved. So if it's moved later, that also means the match will run later.

Personally, I'd like to see the matches start sooner.

Soccer is great for its accessibility to European players, the majority of whom are unable to participate in Captain's scrims because of the timezone difference. It gives those players the opportunity to participate in an organised BFM event, and it'd be a real shame if those players had to be excluded from both Soccer and Captain's Scrims.

I voted for the middle option, but would not want to see the time change.

Our Saturday games would be Sunday for you, Friday games would be Saturday.

There's usually a maximum of 2 Friday games a month. For this season, I believe after every Friday game, there will be a Saturday game, unlike previous seasons.
