It was eleemosynary, which means charitable.

In which case, I don't know why you wouldn't just say "charitable".  But a cool word I came across recently.

Nope.

This is one of those not uncommon words in English that defies belief - how it's pronounced compared to how it looks on the page. 5 letters.

Yup.

As it happens, Kiwi, "combe", and "cwm" mean the same thing. It also happens that "combe" isn't in the Opera English UK dictionary. What do they know, eh?
