I played a few games with him and he was an awsome driver, and gunner. But what amazed me is how much he actually play instead of messing around. He was polite and just a big sigh of relief when i was playing with him... hes one of the ones we should try to keep around the servers...   Dash :beachglasses:

Gosh. I have to say I am surprised it took someone so long to post one about him. I thought he'd be the first one ::)

Mxy has been racing for around 3 years, so I think this thread is a good reward for his hard efforts and contributions to BFM and the racing community.

Totally agree with Hydra.  It took waaay too long for Mxy's kudos, both on the racing circuits and here in the forums.  In both places, I always look for his name and head there.  Race with Mxy or spam with Mxy....doesn't matter.  Both are great fun.

That's because he is never on. Or in some strange alter dimensional time zone lol. I play a few hours a night EST almost every night and have only played with him twice over the last year. I chat with him more here than in game and I think he is even on my xfire friends list.

You're all so nice to be around, too! (Okay, there are a FEW who shall remain nameless *cough* Aeons! *cough* that I'm not so sure about, but to the greater majority....  ;) )

Thanks for all the praise!  It's (almost!  :evil: ) always fun and most often simply me returning each of your own's expressed attitudes - kindhearted, pleasant, and smart-alecky - but amplified. ("Fight fire with fire!" " Takes one to know one....")

I'm simply amazed that you've all put up with me for this long tho! (Heck most - okay, ALL!  :embarrassed: - of my FAMILY couldn't stand me this long! They sequester (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=sequester) me in my office!

It's a pleasure to contribute, and frankly, everything that I do around here is simply an extension of what I'm doing off-machine every day anyway: Helping out with technical problems, continuing to educate myself and sharing WAAAY too much of that with others  ::) , tinkering/DIY stuff, driving like a battle-crazed warthog jockey (Really! There's fingerprints embedded in the dashboard passenger side of my car!), pranking, smart-alecking, and talk, talk, talking everyone's ears off!

I HAVE TO ADD that you, FendrBendr, are perhaps THE BEST SPORT I've had the pleasure of rocketting repeatedly. (Not that I can/even try to "pick and choose!" Hey all you "other-tint" guys are fair game! Heck for some reason my Halo rarely ever shows me a name, even!))

But the other day that was just .. SO insanely WRONG!:

I gave you ALL FIVE or your deaths on one map, and then
ALL SIX of your deaths on the next map!

TY for being such a good sport about it, too.

Had a chance to race with MrMyxzptlk tonight for awhile.  He was a great racer with a good attitude.  Always racing and having a good time.  Excellent driver!!

You shudda heard me cracking up!

FYI other folks: I was driving (solo Rhog) around a base (on Ice Fields) and a split second after he spawns RIGHT IN FRONT OF my driver's-side bumper, I plow down kiw!

If it weren't for the fact that some baddies were on my tail I would've stopped right then and there to type it, but alas I had to wait a bit for a break in driving to type out "Welcome kiw! lol" to him!

And during that interlude I was cracking up on vent, and saying "Watch.  kiw is gonna say something about the rude welcome I just gave him!" ... Which was EXACTLY what he did!

With the exception of posts like the one above :winkgrin:, Mxy posts a lot of helpful things and contributes everywhere. He's not just a "player who's performed well" but he is very involved in everything that's going on around here, whether it be in the Multimedia section, Tech Support, Cogitative Corner, where ever.

Same here.  I couldn't get on Myx's right side, or at least on his blind side, all last night (Saturday, 20 Sep).  He is as lethal in the race as he is helpful in the Tech Support forum.

He got lots of laps, too.  Talk about an all-around awesome racer!

Oh great I remember playing with this guy almost 4 years ago before taking a break until recently and he was one of the main reasons I started coming to these servers daily along with BFM's Elvis, Carew, Octane, Chaindog, Warlord, Flip and many others that I cannot recall right now.  All of you were great role models and after awhile I could begin to hold my own (especially since riding along showed tips and tricks to navigating levels easier.  Very glad to see everyone here and, like in the past, I will also be jumping to join servers with mrmyxzptik and start the long and surely painful road of getting back into racing shape.    :AOL:  Will also be nice getting to know the  members that I have not had the pleasure of meeting but surely share the same standards that made these servers my favorite places to play.

Raced with him this morning and was great!  We had some problem players and I was always relieved when he and I were in the same hog cause I knew then that at least we were racing.  Both he and I were always in the top five at the end of each map.  A bunch of then he and I were first and second.

I would race with him any day or night.

Just wanted to jump in and add my $.02.

Mxy is an amazing player. It's always great to see him in a server.

This happens almost every time I am in a server with him:

I see a player break a rule. I stop to type into chat asking them to stop. By the time I get my message typed and hit enter, I see that Mxy has already done it and my message is so far behind the altercation that everyone is probably wondering what I am talking about (I type slow).

OR
I see a player break a rule. I stop to type into chat asking them to stop. By the time I get my message typed, I look up to see that Mxy has already gotten the message off so I hit "esc" and carry on thinking "how does he do that so fast?"

OR
I see in chat where Mxy has just completed a lap. I've also been in a server with him when he would stop to give pointers and encouragement to new racers (often this was me when I first started racing)

So not only is he an amazing racer but he has eyes on every square inch of the map. Warning and/or encouraging all racers, helping to keep BFM servers the best on the net.

Now when ever I see Mxy in a server, I just breathe a sigh of relief and think "Rock On Mxy!!"

I'm sure that I've already posted in here, but he deserves double the praise. I've raced with Mxy for about an hour just now, and it was a relief to see his name in the server, even if it was "SuprM@n was killed by MrMxyzptlk." Props to you man. Just your presence helped to keep me calm.

I've only had the pleasure of racing with MrMxyzptlk a few times, but the times I have raced with him (most of which he was on the opposing team :bang:) he was a great racer, and made me laugh quite a bit with his random comments. If you want an awesome gunner / driver MrMxy is definitely the guy you want to have. I look forward to racing with him in the future. Hopefully on the same team this time...

Nice Job Mxy! ...and keep shooting... someone else other than me :P

Yeah, just got done having a rip-roarin' time racing with this character, and lemme tell you this: excellent driver, excellent gunner, excellent person to be around. Now, I just wish he'd stop telling me off about talking so much!
