I thought u already got it?

If not, depends on how much u are willing to spend, if u want to pay the extra £10 then Game of the Year.

I thought somebody said once that the game of the year edition has all the patches up to 1.5 with it and you'd just have to download 1.6 and 1.7...

So Should I get the game of the year edition? or the Standard?

Standard. You don't pay as much. It does not take long at all to download the up-to-1.6 patch. Not worth the money to minimize a wait time.

It's four dollars that goes toward ensuring there's no trouble downloading the patches, which several people have had just trying to download just two of them. Four dollars isn't much, especially when it comes to saving time and effort. ;D

No, I'm not letting you borrow four dollars.

If anything, the only trouble I've heard about is when only going from the final one or two only, but none from just doing all of them.

Save your money, buy standard, the patches should not be an issue at all.

No point in paying more for the game of the year addition for those extra maps when you download em in the 1.5/6 patch anyway.

The Collectors Edition comes with a strategy guide and a hard cover art book.

Get the standard addition and then you only need to download patch v1.6 which should take around 30 mins give or take and gives you the extras maps. Then download patch v1.7 which takes a few minutes.

game of the year needs less updating (the long patch downloads) and i think is worth the 3 or 4 extra bucks. :) idk about collector's edition but im happy with my GotY edition

I'd just like to point out that the game on average is $90 in Australia. :(

Do you have Steam or things like that? I think you can also download games from xfire now too. Not considering that it would take an eternity, how much does it cost for you to download the games, if you can?

He could have earned the 4$ in the time we've spent bickering over this :P

Ex, it's $35 + $6 postage through E-Bay because Australian sellers have just bought it from America to sell in their online stores.

@ Jane - We can download from Steam (not sure about Xfire).
