Do you have any specific computers in mind? Or say any specific benchmarks you'd like to hit (like running a particular game)?

Since there's a million different computers out there, we'll need some parameters to aim at.

Mostly want it for gaming.  Games like halo, fortnite, pubg, madden, gta, etc.  Plus use it for surfing the net, YouTube, movies.

Would I need a 16gb memory or would 8gb be enough.

I'm open to any brand.

People like the Omen it seems.

I recommend 16GB of ram, especially with recent games like PUBG.

What is your budget for the machine?

Also, would you prefer to buy one pre-built, or is self-assembly on the table? I ask because having it pre-built can add several hundred dollars to the price tag, so if you're on a limited budget, self-assembly can save you a bunch of cash.

OK, don't really wanna spend over a grand.

First gaming pc and dont really have knowledge to build one.

So I'm thinking a prebuilt one might work for a start

Here's a pretty good looking one from CyberPower PC: https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Early-July-4th-Special-I

It's $500 off right now.

It's $1165, so it's somewhat over your budget. You could cut out the SSD, mouse, keyboard, and change the case to get the price down to $1102.

Pretty good machine. It has the power to run modern games, like PUBG.
