I must admit I'm getting bored of the whole thing now... Everything takes 50hrs+ to build or recruit or research so you can't actively play the game in any way. I'm finding I check it on my breaks at work and in the evening to see if i can actually do something on it and more often than not the answer is no.
Frustrating.

TBH, I have little to do with the alliance. I am just building and building and sometimes join in a conversation or two in chat, but I have not been on the forum in a while and have not looked too closely at the leadership. What war was it, the one with DELTA? because we needed 'farming land' or something?

You may want to consider coming back Loqii since things have really shaken up! For some reason burkett had to stop being the leader of our alliance, then all heck broke loose. That war you mentioned wasn't going very well, there was a bit of a fallout with Brianna and now we've become a sort of subsidiary part of LAW who we were fighting yesterday and are now at war with Brianna!

Several of the alliance members who were tired of not knowing what is going on have created an alliance named Asylum.  I'm waiting to hear back from them as far as who they plan on being friendly with before I make my decision on whether to jump ship from ORDER (new alliance name, LAW is our flag >_>)

Well, the last few posts answer why I couldn't find anyone's cities today when I lost my 7 day protection.  I even got an invite to an alliance.  Since I couldn't find ya'll anymore, I put my tex at 100% and quit playing that server.  I'm doing well on 23 and joined a good alliance there.

Ya'll might consider starting fresh on the newest server 25.  Someone pick a state so everyone tries to start closer together.

As regards tax rate, it's been said that the best rate is 50%. This gives a nice solid 25% of population limit an hour and is maintainable. Since I have a lot of spare gold, though, I'm running at 20% tax which gives me a lot of people spare to work the fields and be trained as soliders.

I need an army since the wars are going on seriously now, so I expect much of the next week will be spent training one up.

A quest is to raise it to 20%. You get some stuff from that, too.

Where are people usually around after a week?

I'd like to point out that mathematically speaking, you should only increase something's level over another of it's kind is if they are all the same level. So if you have two sawmills level 3 and 4, you should increase first to 4 before increasing one to 5.
