PiD-Like FPSRPG
« on: October 29, 2010, 03:14:45 PM »
Seeing that this is a Halo clan I thought you'd be interested in a PiD style FPSRPG game I've been programming, the setting is Sci-fi unlike PiD, but engine design is based on pid.

It's currently on hold whilst I do some university studies and the code is being re-written also, however everything's planned and my entire family is contributing to the scenario, it's going to be like a cross between marathon and pid, horror with lots of hidden tru7hs.

I've recently finished an algorithm that will calculate chamfers and draw them.

Is it hard to make?

Very very hard to make, it's all mathematics, doesn't use directx or opengl quick-drawing methods, it's all by hand calculated to render.

The benefit of this is that effects can be very easily slapped on once the base works, the drawback is no hardware support, so bad PCs will struggle with rendering too many effects.

Chamfers are bloody hard.
