Title: Call of Duty 4 troubleshooting(maybe tech support)
Post by: TUR80 on April 27, 2011, 03:26:03 PM

Well me and meh bro are happily playing abong in a multiplayer game and then it starts to lag.

Only sometimes we have to get out of the game to make the lag stop.

Sometimes again when we try to get back into the game again there is a error message

Key Code in Use, Please try again later

This happens to  all servers we try

We leave it 5-10 minutes and it is working

anyone else have this problem?

has our Key Code been hacked?

Well this is over a LAN connection..right? If so you can disable it when setting up the server.

are you both playing over the same internet connection?

because the lagout with "keycode still in use" is when your connection isnt powerful enough to hold 2 players on one connection without lag, so it will either reboot the connection or the internet will just stop being an internet connection.

because the keycode still in use message is usually when you lose internet connection when still in a game.

you are unable to get back in to any servers until you re-verify your keycode, and you can do this by just verifying your code in the options menu in cod4

What is your internet connection type? Do you know what your framerate is? What operating system do you use? What is your video card? Have you used any console commands before this started?
