Freshman year my roommate's bed was right up against the window facing the street (we were on the first floor of our building). Most mornings the landscapers would feel the need to drive right by our room, and if my roommate felt it necessary, he was close enough to punch them in the face for being too loud and waking us up every morning.

(Un)fortunately, we never did :toughguy:

See, Booyah, over here we have Lawn Mowers with Motors on them!

And those that can afford them even have ones that drive around!

I don't know about what they have in the UK though, I'm sure the technology will reach you all soon :)

Ha, Crimson, coming from Australia where you still use abacuses that's rich. :P

In my first three years I had somewhat less appealing views... 2008 over a concrete court, 2009 overlooking a bike shed, 2010 the slightly more modern parts of Queens' and St. Catherine's colleges. I think I've earned this year's view.

Watch this space... This morning there was a mist clinging to the back lawn and I got a photo of it or two. Well worth a look I hope!

W/e kiw.

The point about fog is that it rarely if ever extends right up into your face - so it has to "start" about 10, 20, 30 metres away from the camera. So ha.

Those shuttlecock sculptures are from a museum here. I think every kid in the city took a school trip to the museum and the only thing we remember are the giant shuttlecocks.
