Xbox 360 Controller
« on: December 19, 2009, 04:04:35 PM »
My wireless controller is starting to break after 3 months of use. Whenever it vibrates, it turns off every second time. Example, when I melee the wall on Halo 3, the guide button light will flicker, as if loosing power, and the controller will switch off. Or when I shoot the battle rifle - the light will flicker three times, then turn off. I checked the batteries, and the battery pack (not rechargeable) is fine, so I figured it is an internal problem. There are some games where you can turn off vibration, but most of the ones I play do not have that option

Any diagnostics, solutions, suggestions? :)

It sounds as if some of the internal wiring is loose. It may require a bit of cold soldering or regular soldering. Unless you know somebody that can do so without much in the way of worry(i.e. a Gamestop or other such place), I'd suggest getting a new controller.

^^ Done by me(freshly updated :))
