NASA has announced the shutdown of the Mars rover Opportunity, after being unable to connect to it for several hours after a 'low battery' warning. Set to only run for about 90 days, Opportunity lived up to the name and gave us 15 years of insight to a world unknown to us, as well as memes, hope, joy, and innovation.
