If you're taking the SATs or would like to just practice your vocabulary...
freerice.com is a great website.
you can practice vocab words.
For every word you guess correctly the World Food Group donates 20 grains of rice to some poor, skinny kid in Africa. So for 5 correct words that's 100 grains of rice!
So if wanna help the world and help your vocabulary check out that website. It's really good for practicing for the SATs too!

got 2,000 yesterday + the 1,000 I got before that, so I got 3,000 rice donated yesterday.
I donated 2,020 rice today, and all donated so far is 5,020 rice.
One more thing to tell you, i'm not using a program.

I've been slackin' on this one.
I just donated 2,020 rice, and adding to total: 7,040 rice.
Edit July 13, 2008: Just donated 1,000 today.
All adds up to 8,040 rice total.
Edit July 19, 2008: donated 1,000 rice today, which adds up to 9,040 rice total donated.

2,000 today. Much more in the past, I have no idea quite how much.
I remember back when this was just 10 grains per answer. It's great that this has got so much attention - such a great cause (both in nutrition and education)

Hint: I you want to give rice faster, and not get into the PhD-level words as quickly/at all, INTENTIONALLY MISS every 6th word or so! :evil:

Or just guess the first one every time till you're at a low level and with a good amount of rice from chance, then start answering correctly.

I remember knowing around thirty words in a row the last time I tried that site.
Then I incorrectly defined the 31st, only to drop down to the first level again with a string of words I didn't know (or guess) the definition of :(
