You can fly in it too, some characters have wings! (Though mind you you can only fly for around a minute at a time and the wings don't stay on.)

So I've gotten to level 10, which is when you get your wings, and it is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is sooooooo amazing. The flying is soooo awesome. I love the content of this game and the options given when creating the character are awesome. You can personalize your characters greatly, but the standard looks are great as they are!

Edit, I thought I'd post a few screenshots I found. I'll post a couple of mine soon. (These are taken from the Aion Official website)

is it like wow where you pay a subscription fee or is it like Guild Wars where you buy the game and online play is free?

Unfortunately it is pay per montth, I believe it is $15 a month. My opinion, it's worth it, lol.

I tried the Beta for it, and honestly, after having played WoW, its game-play doesn't match up. The graphics are great, but after getting used to the free-movement world of WoW, and the fact that you can choose between PvP and PVE content, I chose WoW. (plus it annoys me to no end that you can't jump in Aion -.-   not to mention that you're forced to PVP in the higher levels if I have my games straight :P)

TBH, if I'd be paying a subscription fee and it was a choice between the two, I'd play WoW, but in all honesty, its just my opinion and I know a lot of people that absolutely LOVE Aion, I just take their word for it

Actually you can jump and it's awesome too. for the "darker" race they have a normal jump on flat land but when you are on the top of a bump or something they will do a little flip jump :D. You can't jump in Guild Wars. I'm not too familiar with the PvP aspect of Aion, but from what I do know is that you can duel each other and there are quests where you can do PvP, Other then that I'm unsure. It also has crafting and stuff. My most favorite thing though is the flying! you can glide, Air dive, and you can fight in the air. And the wings are just beautiful!

You can't jump in Guild Wars.

Just as a heads up, you can jump in Guild Wars, its done thru the emotes tho, so isnt a key bound movement, as are for example, 'excited', 'boo' (says boo!) 'violin' (plays a violin) 'dance' (dances) etc. So beyond the eye candy, they are pretty useless as far as the game goes.

Here are a few screen shots that I took:

This one is my character

And this one I took while using the Flight transport (basically traveling but this spirit bird carries you from one place to another and you get to watch it take you there)

My best friend has it and has yet to activate it.  Looks pretty as all get out, but Im still waiting for GW2.  That has massive promise in my opinion.

I agree Slayton, I cannot wait until GW2 comes out, though right now this is my favorite game becuase it's just so beautiful and you can FLY! heh. Though I only play it when my wife is in the room because I spend ANY time I can be on vent on halo.

Apparently, and I may be wrong, but I read somewhere that if you had pre-ordered Aion, your first Character in GW2 got a set of wings.  Not sure if they would be useable or not.

Actually when you buy Aion you get a code to get an emote in Guild Wars (1) that has wings.
