So I was looking through Halomaps looking for an interesting map to race on. It was an interesting ride through the first 4 maps I came across...(the darker the color, the worse it was :P)
Deathrace: Way to small to have a decent race on, not to mention ChaosGulch-esque weapons
DMT Racing: Interesting concept, having racers wait til a countdown is finished before starting to race, but WAYY too long of a course (300+ seconds for one lap without messing up), weapons don't even exist on the map, and no gun turrents on the rally cars(not to mention profanity in the songs that play on the server and a drug reference on the map loading screen :doh:)
HQ_racing: Thought it was going to be similar to Halo HQ, but was dead wrong. Cool map, but the vehicles are nearly impossible to control
TheTrack2: A map that advertises racing...but doesn't even support a racing type :doh:
Then I came across Vestige...
It was made by the same people that made Snowtorn Cove (which is currently in the rotation) only set in a darker environment. I've had my gripes about Snowtorn, so when I was downloading it I was expecting it to be similar. Well...it was similar...but in a good way. It utilizes the ice (almost forcing you to go over it in some parts) and has an overall better level design then Snowtorn IMO. It's also shorter lap-time wise (It was around 120 per lap on Snowtorn, and closer to mid-90s on Vestige), but has similar driving feel as grove_final (also made by the same people I believe).
Give it a shot, I would personally like to have this map replace Snowtorn if possible but that's up to Cool so we'll see :winkgrin:

Never played or heard of Snowtorn Cove but this Vestige looks totally like CMT snow grove which is a really known map and again by these same makers. On the CE page they have made around 30 other maps also. :yesyes:
