Welcome to the BFM literary corner! In this sub-board, you can post your written work and show off your hidden talents. This area will be great to bounce ideas off one another, create RPGs (Role Playing Games), story lines, poetry and enjoy reading the hard work of others. Remember, people have worked hard on these threads, so please be respectful when replying/critiquing others works.
A few basic guidelines on what is acceptable and what will not be allowed:
- Absolutely no profanity (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/profanity)! Any submissions with profanity will be removed in its entirety. Remember, we don’t allow curse words on our servers or other sections of the forum and we won’t allow them here.
- Watch the content (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/content) of your work. If the content can be considered adult in nature, the thread will be removed. If it can’t be read in a second grade classroom, it has no place here. This can include overly graphic violence.
- Absolutely no alcohol or illegal drug references or usage! This is not up for debate. Your thread will be locked and moved and there is the possibility of losing your forum privileges (banned).
- Plagiarism (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Plagiarism) will not be tolerated. Stealing from a store is against the law and so is stealing written works of others. If you feel quoting from another source will enhance your work, proper acknowledgment must be used.
- If you are the creator of a thread and wish to update it with new chapters, please hit the modify button at the top right of the header bar on your original post. People want to read your work and might find it difficult to follow the story if they have to scroll through other people’s comments. This would only apply to those threads where the story is not meant to be interactive with other members of the forum other than comments/critiques.
- If the content of the most recent update is not considered acceptable, it will be removed and you will have to edit it to meet BFM standards before it will be allowed to be posted again.
- Please use the spell check button! You have worked hard developing your thread, don't let a bunch of spelling errors take away from it!
- Please do not hesitate to PM me if you have an issue with somebody's posted work, if you find it offensive or in poor taste or think that it may be stolen work.
- Most importantly, have fun, be creative, and impress the socks off of us!
