Old news is old, lawl. Just messing.

Personally, it doesn't look as dark as I would like it to, but we'll see what happens. It's really early in the game right now, so you never know what will happen. I'll seriously say that I don't like them getting rid of the pots and replacing them with orbs. Seems like God of War tactic to me.

But yeah, I've been following all the rumors for about the last 5 years now, so I knew it would come out eventually. Either way, I'm buying this the day it comes out. Might even go stand in line if it turns into a big thing and people try to get their copies before I do. :neckbeard: :ssh:

I love Diablo, lawl.

Hey I have a question for you guys, since you obviously know more than I do  :XD:

What about He**gate: London?!? was that a joke, because in my opinion it was bad and is a waste of 30 dollars!!

but still, it looked so much like Diablo II from a third person shooter view. (instead of the weird overhead view we get into  the Diablo titles).

I heard that the creators of Diablo II (not Blizzard, but a division of it) "seperated" from Blizz than made Hellgate... is that true or am I just wrong ?!?

He**gate: London was showed off to be so much like Diablo, because some people that helped with the Diablo series left Blizzard (Blizzard North I believe) and went to work with the company Flagship. I personally don't think that they were going for an exact copy of Diablo or anything, but just wanted the dark feeling and some other things from the game. But I agree, there was tons of hype regarding how much it was supposed to be like Diablo and all. A good amount of people were disappointed.

In other news about Flagship, I guess recently there is a rumor going around that they cut a bunch of their workers and that the company is starting to go down. In some websites, people say that it's true and in some others, they say that it's a false report from some guy on his blog. I think that it's false myself, but who knows. Their website looks to be fully functional and says nothing about it, and they have job openings available.

I'm guessing that the requirements will compare a bit with World of Warcraft. The game looks to be more graphically intense than World of Warcraft, so the requirements will probably will be a bit higher for everything across the board. But that's just pure speculation.

I think I read it somewhere, but so far, the only thing announced officially by Blizzard for computer hardware requirements, is that Diablo III will not need a DirectX 10 graphics card and users with DirectX 9 will be able to play it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But you shouldn't have to. They are putting Diablo III over Battle.net, so online multiplayer should come free with the purchase of the game. There isn't going to be any monthly fee or any fee at all for that matter to be able to play online.

Where did you hear this from? The Blizzard Diablo FAQ, as well as other sites, say that no release date has been announced.

Not quite sure where he found it, but I did manage to find a link that speculatively puts the release date in a ballpark figure between March and July '09. The link leads ya >HERE< (http://d3.zuggaming.com/2008/07/01/diablo-3-release-date/).

Diablo II (LoD) is one of two computer games played by "everyone*" in this household. (DooM II is the other!  yes, ... STILL!)

Son & I saw the trailer a few weeks (months?) ago, and dusted off D2LoD.

We got the new patch (1.12, up from ... 1.09!  :embarrassed: ) and now play on Battle.Net, since the on-line cheating is WAAAY down due to the new patches that came out "while we were away" from the game.

So ya, we'll be pre-ordering ours and getting two (three, prolly....) copies the DAY OF it's release!

FYI: My two usual classes are Paladin and Sorceress.

* 'Cept wifey.  Wifey only plays Tetris, Bejeweled 2, and solitaire.  How lame is THAT?!?

I looked on game's shop sites.

One explained the release was 27th March, I didn't trust it, so I checked another, same date.

Play.com (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/5984705/Diablo-III/Product.html)

Not 100%, but it's a general idea, and I doubt they'd lie really, maybe be mis-informed.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the information about that stuff. I personally don't know how they get those dates, other than from the one Hawk posted. But either way, I'm perfectly fine with that release date. :XD:

Though Blizzard still says "it's too early to tell" on their Diablo FAQ. :toot:

Sonny boy was in the Alpha, and the Beta testing/playing.

Maps were very limited, but the gameplay was vnice!

Best thing to me was the automatic pick-up of items when you walked over/near them! (FINALLY!)

Much darker look and feel, too.

Saw some of the gameplay and was not greatly impressed.
Still playing DII with brother Laz Mod, which gives a complete overhaul of the game, here is the link if anyone interested.

At the end of last week they invited another 100,000 people into the Diablo 3 Beta.... looks like the wait will continue for a while longer yet.

I am dying with anticipation! My friends and I have found ourselves so enthused by the game, that we are starting back into D2. I am afraid of the darkness that is D3, afraid that I will lose my soul to a game that looks to be one of the best games of my life time.
