Modem question (Comcast users)
« on: January 27, 2018, 04:16:51 PM »
I've been renting a modem from Comcast and need to get my own because that $10/month adds up.

Not sure which brand us better and I know it's gotta be compatible with Comcast.

I'm not a hardcore gamer/streamer/Downloader and really don't want to spend over $100.

What do you guys use?

I use a Motorola Surfboard SB6141 that I bought from Costco around 3-4 yrs ago and a series of old Netgear and Linksys routers that I use as access points. Figure I have to upgrade someday since everyone in my family endlessly streams HD wirelessly and latency is trending upward. That 1 TB monthly cap from Comcast doesn't help either.
