Title: Windows 10 for $30-$40
Post by: BFM_Fuzzy on August 05, 2020, 07:03:22 AM
PC World magazine has a partner that is selling legal copies of Windows 10 Home Edition for $30, and Pro Edition for $40. If you're thinking of building a new computer in the next couple of years, I recommend snapping one up. I'm planning to build several over the next few years, so I've already picked up three copies.

Here are the links:

I recently built a computer for myself and this is how I licensed it. It works.

I found one that is even cheaper. I bought it couple days ago to fix up an old laptop

Windows 10 Professional for $US8.80

Use discount code SkK42 for 42% off to make it $8.80

Found it via this article: https://wccftech.com/best-software-deals%ef%bc%9awindows-10-as-low-as-8-8-and-microsoft-office-2016-for-23-99/ (https://wccftech.com/best-software-deals%ef%bc%9awindows-10-as-low-as-8-8-and-microsoft-office-2016-for-23-99/)

Just bought two from Taipan's site. Don't really need them at the moment but that's quite a deal and I am hiping to build a decent desktop here within the next year or so for VR purposes.

Another good method is if you have a Windows 7 (and possibly 8) key, install any version of Windows 10, go to activate, and enter the key, it should activate as whatever version of Win7/8 the key came from. I do believe this makes the key a one-time thing, though.

Any truth to the rumor that Microsoft will be issuing Windows 12 sometime first quarter, 2021?

I just built a new computer and used my old Windows 7 Pro key and it worked just fine for Windows 10 Pro  :)
