Yeah it's a Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77X-UP5 Thunderbolt MB. I spent a LONG time finding the best deals for my parts. My motherboard was half the price it normally should be due to an amazon glitch where they thought they were selling the UP4 =P The case I also got at the lowest price it's ever been in the UK. I'm a bit of a fiend for deals! Just saving up for a thunderbolt display now to finish the rig.

Apart from perhaps some cool drive bay mods, I can't think of anything else I want to add now. I'll probably SLI it when a single overclocked 660Ti can no longer handle the games being released, but I think I'm good for a year or two with graphics. I'm not fussed about LEDs or other lightning as no one ever sees it but me and my partner and she doesnt give a monkeys xD I just know I wanted a white case due to fairly restricted light in our flat - London is a squash!

Finally got round to upgrading my PC granted its not top of the range but its way better than what i had.

CPU:  AMD FX6100 Black Edition 6 Core 3.3GHZ
CPU Cooler: Zillman CNPS9900NT (From my old build but its so good i decided to reuse it)
Mobo: ASUS M5A78L-M USB3
Ram: 8GB total - 2 sticks of 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 at 1.5v
Hard Drive: Gskill Phoenix PRO 120GB SSD
Sound Card: Creative BlasterX-Fi Xtreme Audio ( Card from my old build but is still better than the rubbish Via one on the mobo )
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX550Ti 1GB ( A little disappointed with its performance boost when compared to my old GTX 260)
Power Supply: iCute 600 Modular Gamer Edition
Case: iCute ( This is my old case that i repainted to the colors I wanted with a few other cosmetic modifications

Over all i'm pretty pleased with the  build and i can now run all my games including crysis 2 at there max yet to see how it handles newer games. The only let down is the GTX550Ti as it only moves up 2 points to 7.4 on the windows index compared to the GTX 260 at 7.2 and isn't much better on the bench marks so might upgrade this at some point depending how it stands up to the new games.  The CPU also runs at a cool 25c at idle and 31c under gaming load so I might overclock this at a later date as i have seen these chips go over 4GHz and be stable and my cooler should be able to handle it as right now its hardly doing any work.

Here's the bad boy I'm running right now:

Within the next year or so I'll be looking at either buying a custom built or buying parts and building another gaming PC(and making sure it's on a dang surge protector this time so the processor doesn't get fried :bang:)

I've just performed an upgrade of my own. I built a new computer last year but recycled the old GTX 260 Core 216. Given the graphics card is now around 5 years old I decided to take advantage in the clearance sales of the old cards.

Case: Fractial Design R3 Titanium
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77-UD3
CPU: Intel i5 3570k @ 4GHz
GPU: Asus GTX670 Direct CU II 4GB
RAM: G.Skill Ares 1600MHz 2x8GB
PSU: Seasonic X560 Gold
SSD: Intel 520 240GB
Speakers: Swan M50W

Why 4GB on the graphics card? Because when they were clearing the model it cost only $4 more than the 2GB model of the same card... so why not? (I do run dual monitors)
I might post some pictures... once I clean my office up a little. It hasn't received its clean since I got out of exam mode. Bad Exodus.

Nrvend is too old. We race in hogs, not wheelchairs.
Exodus.....why is there a cat in my post?
Exodus is the all-time Major Pain.

Its been a few years since I posted my big Gigabyte rig, so I was due for an updated system.  Picked it up today.  It was custom built by the guys at NCIX.

In fact, I bought two of them... my youngest son badly needed one two and it was easier to just say "I'll take two of those" and have them put orange lights in one (his) and blue in the other (mine).

Specs :
1 x Intel Core i7 4770K Unlocked Quad Core 3.5GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 8MB Cache
1 x Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H110 High Performance CPU Cooler LGA1150 1155 1156 1366 2011 FM1 FM2
1 x ASUS Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Z87 3PCI-E16 3PCI DDR3 SATA3 USB3.0 CrossFireX/SLI HDMI Motherboard
1 x Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 2X8GB DDR3-1866 240PIN C9 DIMM 1.5V Dual Channel Memory Kit
1 x ASUS GeForce GTX 780 OC DirectCU II 941MHZ 3GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card
1 x Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow Cube Case ATX Window 2X5.25 2X3.5INT USB3.0
1 x Corsair AX860I 860W ATX 12V V2.31 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply Active PFC 120mm Fan
1 x Bitfenix BFA-ACL-30OK15-RP Alchemy LED Connect Lit 30CM 15 LEDs - Blue
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64Bit SP1 DVD OEM
1 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA 6Gbps 3.5in Internal Hard Drive - OEM
2 x Corsair Neutron Series GTX 240GB SATA3 2.5in 6GB/S LAMD LM87800 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD - Ssds set in RAID0 for Extreme Performance
1 x ASUS BC-12B1ST Internal 12X Blu-Ray Reader & 16X DVD Writer Combo Drive SATA OEM

And my new AOC 27" Class LED Backlit Monitor - 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 20000000:1 Dynamic, 2ms, HDMI, VGA, EnergyStar

I think I'm good for another couple of years - especially with Gordon Freeman and my Head Crab Zombie watching over me  ;).

Wow Nice rig Wic and even better looking desk setup :P.

I haven't upgraded my rig since 2009 except for 24GB 1600Mhz RAM. It is in need since I have noticed sub 30FPS in some games recently.

I did however recently buy a new gaming laptop since I seem to be doing a lot of moving around to places, so be wiser to invest in a laptop rather then haul my 20kg tank of a case around. I waited until after the new generation consoles were released so I was 100% certain it would be more powerful than a PS4 so it would future proof games atleast for the next 6 years since all triple-A titles are almost always console ports.

I also go traveling a fair bit and go SCUBA diving a lot. So having a laptop to travel with that was powerful enough to encode and sort gopro footage was a key issue as well (powerful but light)

Laptop from MALIBAL

Laptop: Lotus P150SM
Screen: 15.6 inch FHD Matte Display - 15inch since I wanted to keep the weight about 3KG and smallerish size so it's easier to travel with
CPU: Core i7 4900MQ 8MB L3 Cache 2.8-3.8Ghz
Memory: 32GB PC3-12800 1600Mhz DDR3 - 4xSO-DIMM
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5
Storage: 512GB Samsung 840Pro SATA III 6GB/s SSD
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Extra displays: Dell Ultrasharp U2410 + BenQ XL2411TE

I have a theatre room where I sometimes hook the laptop up to an EPSON TW9200 projector + Bose Lifestyle 535 system and sit in a beanbag with the keyboard on my lap and a little stool thing for the mouse for some pretty fun gaming hehe. Still need to get the carpet laid and room painted so I will take a photo of it and post it here when it is complete.
