If you are about 16+ and/or enjoy math, give this a try. I learned this in high school as a junior, and then it just came up again today in one of my college math courses. I was very surprised to see that my professor had never seen this before. Graphing calculators make these computations in the background, but it is nice to know how to do by hand. It is a very useful tool to have at your disposal. I hope at least one person can put this tool to good use. =)

I learned that in college as well. It is very useful and is fun once you see what the problem is leading to.

At first glance I'd say that I am happy to stick with long division - easier to check the working. And since most of my problems occur when doing the working, I need as much time as I can get on that!
