Title: A Fond Farewell from Slayton
Post by: Slayton V. Price on March 15, 2013, 03:09:37 PM
Exits.

Some people like to be vague for their reasons, others like to be flashy and go out with a bang, me, I'm just going to say "bye".

Bye!

Okay, Okay, here we go:

Part of me is singing "Not Ready To Go", by The Trews, and the other part is singing, "Your Time Has Come", by Audioslave. It makes it loud in my head, and hard to write this.:P

It has been fun here, during my time with BFM, but it is time that I pulled the plug. As most of you, that know me, know, I have been rather inactive as of late, and I do not feel right holding a rank and not living up to it's expectations. I was made a Captain to run Scrim teams, and when the draw is not their for me to even participate in the season anymore, then there isn't much point in me holding that rank, so I surrender it to someone else.

With that, I am, as of now, resigning from BFM. It has been fun, as I said, and I wouldn't trade any of my time here for anything else. I have the utmost respect for Elvis and the leadership of this organization. The fundamentals that BFM were founded on are what brought me here, and what has kept me here this long. BFM is truly something special in the world of online gaming. I applaud ELvis for his stalwart attitude, and sticking to his guns when it comes to what BFM stands for. I also applaud all of the admins and people that keep this place ticking on a daily basis. The ones racing and admining in the servers daily and nightly keep BFM and its reputation going. Good on you all and keep it up.

There are those that I will miss, and to them I say thank you for making my time here enjoyable and fun. Talks going into the wee hours of the morning about music, or sports (a topic in which my rank is Noob :P) or anything else.

Good luck, to all of BFM, in the future. I will echo many others before me and say: There is a good thing going here, keep it up.

Best of luck Slayton, though I'm sure we'll see each other around  :smly_a_wink:

You were my super awesome trainer which was pretty much my first step in BFM and you helped sooooo much.  A lot of your traits and suggestions were what I used to learn and even when it came my turn as a trainer, I found myself remembering my training with you and using some of your techniques  :P :P

I enjoyed the scrims when we were together, and we always gave it our all.  Thanks for everything!!

Sad to see you go, Slayton.

My season as an Lt was with you, and I feel that was one of the best seasons. I learned a lot from you that season. (Getting the medal was pretty cool too :D )

Im not going to get too sappy, but I feel we had a lot of commonalities and wish you the best of luck with your future dealings and endeavors.

Cheers.

Sorry to see you go Slayton. I gained so much respect for you when you were my Captain 2 scrim seasons ago. That was a great time and I am so glad and honored that you chose me for that team. Thank you for that season and thankyou for your dedication to BFM.

Slayton Sorry for taking so long to post but I have been so busy and just didnt want to post we will miss you and not have time to say what I think about you.

I have told  you before what I thought of you but would like to share it with everyone in BFM. Slayton you were one of my favorites in BFM. You do things with honor and integrity. For that reason and being a great CPT, I would come to you when I needed someone who happened to be an LT or future LT to be taught how a CPT really should act and how they should carry themselves when running a team. Every time I came to you to help out you were more than happy to do so. Every Lt you got to help got to see what I saw in you. I owe you a huge THANK YOU for all your help in the scrims and in other areas of BFM.

I see a lot of young men now days who dont use honor or integrity or have the ability to take a stand when its not popular for the right things. BFM took many stands with your help. Your not one to just follow the crowd and go along with everything even if you know it isnt right. Right now there is a lack of that in this Politically Correct world. You are a great young man and its men like you that give me hope for the future. Thank you so much for being in BFM and all the hard work and thank you even more for being my friend. I know I will miss you Slayton. Feel free at any time to jump on vent. You always have a home here whenever you feel like dropping in. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

Adios Slayton; May you live Long and Prosper...  :chief: If BFM promoted everyone to General then there wouldn't be a need for all these massive retirements that seem to be happening within the really lets be honest only Halo clan left. :'(
