whenever i try to use a sniper or rocket or pistol...for slayer it goes all blurry and i can not see a thing...can anyone help me

re-install or possibly google halo combat evolved PC default skins
Download the skins and replace the existing ones with new ones. Not sure if that would fix it or if you could any. Just a thought. I think re-installing would be best inless someone else has something better to try.

Does it look like a bad TV screen with a few hints of Red, Green and Blue thrown in?
Because with me it eventually went away. :evil:

i already tried re-installing it a bunch of times and it usually got worse

yeah when i zoom in but in slayer games there are always snipers and i can't shoot with good accuracy

Have you ever played with changing the way your weapons look/feel/shoot for Halo CE?

If you could upload a screenshot of what it looks like, it might be easier to see what the problem is.
To take one:
Start playing
Press PrtScrn (or similar) on your keyboard when you want to take the screenshot
Exit Halo
Go to Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->Paint (or your paint program)
Click Edit, then Paste (As new image in some cases)
One thought though, have you changed any video settings on your computer or on Halo recently? Perhaps you've made some change to your settings that the video card can't handle? Perhaps try fiddling around with a few of those.
Short of that, I have no idea (and I don't see how a reinstall would make the problem worse)

Anyway, you can make it a completely clear in Halo (and I THINK in Halo CE as well?) by adding "-useff" to the end of your shortcut target you use for starting up Halo. (I actually have several shortcuts with diff command-line parameters like these.)
This addition will TURN OFF ALL GRAPHICS ACCELERATION in your video card, and things WILL LOOK TERRIBLE. (All flat and bland.) Thus turning off the code that blurs the zoom on some weapons.
Using this setting will put MORE demand on your CPU, as it will now be doing more graphics works than otherwise, but if you have a fairly fast CPU it won't be a problem at all.
If you need details on how to add command-line stuff or create shortcuts, PM me or catch me on vent and I can walk you through that.

Ya, that's MAJOR messed up!
Try the "-useff" trick and see if it fixes it. If so, that may mean you need to:
1) Get newest drivers, and/or
2) Run DXDiag diagnostics on your Graphics Adapter, and/or
3) Check that your GA is one that's supported for Halo....

Actually, he hasn't FIXED his problem, he's just worked around it.
If he's fine with the workaround (which I think might be the case!) then he'll still have whatever problem he's having with his drivers/GA to deal with....
