Marley of course.
Other than that I would say Pink Floyd, Explosions in the Sky, Red Sparowes or any experimental instrumental music.
-
Somewhere over the Rainbow.
By Israel iz Kamikwiolololololol
Something like that, I love his voice.
-
I listen to Blink 182, works alll the time :)
-
<3 Dashboard Confessional. That does it for me.
It all depends on my mood. I've never found one song that will ALWAYS calm me down. Sometimes its rock, metal, indie... pretty much everything... but never country :P. Sorry all you country fans out there!
Swing Life Away - Rise Against is pretty easy going, as is pretty much everything by Jack Johnson. He's got great music for you calm acoustic loving people (like me :P)...
Speaking of acoustic, Acoustic Alchemy is amazing. Forgot about them...
Yeah, so that about does it for me!
-
Floyd and Zeppelin are usually the best for me to relax to but even most metal is relaxing to a degree.
-
Switchfoot or Nickleback!
-
afterlife - avenged sevenfold ;D
and
before i forget - slipknot ;D
yes.. i can relax to slipknot
-
I can't believe SOME of you can relax with heavy metal playing....
Just cant... i'd LOVE to see all of you try to fall asleep to System of a Down.
-
can and have done that
[Just cant... i'd LOVE to see all of you try to fall asleep to System of a Down./quote]
I feel alseep listing to Pulse of the Maggots by Slipknot last night.

Woot Slipknot!!!
-
I listen to Deicide or BFMV. Yeah, it's possible for me to relax to death metal or heavy metal. I prefer to listen to Deicide though. Good band.
-
As im a DJ my music is some what different :XD: but here are the 2 songs i relax too by the same artists. I also was at this event to see it and to chill out :toot: The event was hosted by T-Mobile and was 'Electronic Beats'
Part one of song CLICKY (http://www.youtube.com/v/QGW4fSrEyhA&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0)
Part two of song CLICKY (http://www.youtube.com/v/iM9nFAzdjdg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0)
P.s both songs are ambient atmospheric drum and bass. Also if you maximize it then its a little pixelated.
Hope you enjoy it

I think that Fleetwood Mac's Albatross (http://uk.youtube.com/v/bSZHT2XvoLM&rel=0) is a lovely piece, peaceful and serene.

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, calms me right down

I too can fall asleep to slipknot. One day my brother was playing all his slipknot, and the songs Psychosocial, Gemerica (or something similar) and Pulse of the maggots played... Last one put me out haha.

This is not just relaxing music... this is M&S relaxing music... :)
I only fall asleep to music if I'm travelling for a prolonged time - for example on a ferry. I just put my iPod on shuffle and let it drown out the screaming kids. xD I can fall asleep to rock music.
-
Hmmm.
Barber's Adagio for Strings.
Stevie Ray Vaughn's cover of Little Wing, a Jimi Hendrix piece.
Those two will mellow me right out. "In Trutina" from Orff's Carmina Burana is relaxing, too, but makes me all melancholic, especially now that I have daughters.

Somewhere over the Rainbow.
By Israel iz Kamikwiolololololol

Nice choice, Noodles. It's Israel Kamakawiwo'ole known affectionally here as "Bradda Iz." He was a local favorite. Classic Hawaiian falsetto. Got to see him performs several times before he passed on. Too bad his obesity led to his early demise. What a sad loss and so young.
Listen here (http://www.imeem.com/renthawa/music/LNqW0fOf/israel_kamakawiwoole_somewhere_over_the_rainbow/)

Pink Floyd's Meddle album and Dead Can Dance is a pretty smooth sounding band with lyrics no one will ever understand (bc the girl singer makes up her own langauge  but its still cool music)
-
Clokx - Clokx [Original Mix] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v57yrJHuX-A) for me.
Few others like Orbital - Pants, Dj Shah - Lost, Roberta Harrison - Photograph...
Too many to list.
-

Nice bro, any mudvayne or pantera in there? Im the same way at times, metal in general can just calm me...if im angry or upset it sorta melts away my emotions.
For me, i would say Radiohead - Paranoid Android calms me.
-
Master of Puppets by Metallica
-
well oddly a song that is out of control will calm me down. lets say ceremony, or the acacia strain.
-
Three little birds - Bob Marley, all time favourite.
