Yay!  Love this comp!



Reposting the specs from the original old forum thread:

Specs:

VIDEO:  BFG nVidia GeForce 8800GTS OC 640MB 2DVI/HDTV PCI-Express Video Card

MOBO: MSI P6N SLI-FI Nforce 650I LGA775 Conroe DDR2 ATX 2PCI-E16 PCI-E1 3PCI SATA2 1394 Motherboard

PROCESSOR:  Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 4MB

RAM: 2 x  Kingston HyperX 2GB 2X1GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory (total 4Gb, pity XP will only see/use 3 but oh well... will need it for Vista eventually  :P)

POWER SUPPLY:  Antec TruePower Trio 650 - 650 Watt PSU

HARDDRIVE: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA2 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache NCQ Hard Drive

LG DVD/CD rewriter, LG DVD/CD Rom, Floppy (I'M OLD SCHOOL, K? I happen to still use floppy disks to bring documents home from work to edit  :P)

OS: XP

Its all wrapped up in this case:

Gigabytes 3D Aurora 570 This case is SO QUIET I can't believe it!  Comes with both Clear or Black Mesh side (I have the clear in as you can see).  Everything fit beautifully, just snapped in (so I'm told  ;)).   So much room still in it though.. hmmm....

The specs look very similar to the machine I'm planning on building this Sept-Oct time, though I use AMD over Intel chips, much of the rest in the same. I see you also are splurging for the BFG Tech 8800 card. That alone doubled the cost of my future new computer.

Ah... more pics of "Baby".  Lol.  Yes, I was just as bad when my boys were 'babies' too  ;)

Realized I hadn't posted a pic with the side off, or with the front door open, OR of the very cool front fan which you can't see face-on, but which I inadvertently discovered is designed to project the name of the chassis case onto your desk  ;D   I have a matte desktop so it didn't show up until I left a cd sitting in the right spot. 

I promise not to post pics of the feet, cool though they are (jk).




And yes, Max, that picture on the wall in the first ones is the same one AmD has in his forum signature... I've had that pic up there for about 2 years - love it!!  :)
AmD has such good taste... ;)

Yep, you are deffinately using the same Antec modular power supply. Those things just plain rock. No more tangle from loose power cables, or not having the right connector for the drive.

Darn, Sept 15th is taking too long to get here........
