I Really Need Your Guys Help! Xbox or PS3??

I really don't know which one to get. Ive never had an xbox before and i'm a huge playstation fan, but over here they have stopped selling the 60GB PS3.. Only the 40GB is avaliable.

I've looked into Xbox and you can buy wayyyy better memory. It's cheaper. Plus then I could buy Halo 2 and Halo 3!!

The only thing thats stopping me from making the easy decision is the internet access.
PS3 is free, but you have to pay for Xbox Live. I love online gaming even though halo PC was my first so i'd love to play it more. Is Xbox Live really worth paying the money for and is it much??

I'd say that the xbox 360 is best.
I do not even want to bother playing a PS3.
The PS3 does not have very much great games.
Not as much as the xbox 360 does.
Plus, on the gaming magazines, the PS3 games are rated as not very great/good.
Lets say that some of them are 5/10 and some are 7/10.
There are very few that are rated 8 or 9.
The PS3 isn't a great console.
Like I said, "I would get the xbox 360,"
but this choice is up to you.
So you go ahead on your decision.

If it had the money for either, I'd go PS3, especially with the whole Blueray thingy taking over. The online is free, and the machine is better.
The 360 has some better games at the moment, but the PS3 will with time, like MGS!!!!! (Metal Gear Solid)
With that in mind, I'd say go PS3. In my eyes all the 360 has to me to make me get it would be Halo. So the PS3 outweighs it.

Finally look at the technical side,
the PS3 has blueray,

also on paper is a more powerful machine.
the 360 has a more established online community (its been out longer)
Then look at the games currently available, and what ones you want/like.
At the end of the day your gonna have this console till the next generation develop,
so think ahead aswell
E.g the upcoming blueray revolution.

I has a PS2 before. It was ok, but I really like the 360 more. Xbox Live is awesome. In Halo alone, I see 425,000 people playing online. It is HUGE. Go with the 360. That way you can play Halo 2 & 3 with all of us

I'll leave my bias at the door for this one.

The PS3 is a more powerful machine for sure, and has a built in Blueray player. Both are strong arguments for it, as so is the free Playstation Network as well. However it currently performs poorly in the game selection and variety Category.

Most of the major releases (CoD4, Orange Box, DMC4, Assassin's Creed) are on both systems. So it comes down to what are you looking for in a gaming system?

The PS3 and 360 both have wireless controllers (perk), the PS3 has 6 axis (see: gimmick), 360 has Gears of War, Halo 3, Mass Effect and Ace Combat 6 (see: pwnage), a Yearly subscription for Live is around $40.00 via a prepaid card if one chooses, and MS likes to nickle and dime users for some of the Downloadable content (see: Highway robbery, Ace Combat 6).

With the exception of MGS and Final Fantasy XIII, most of the real powerhouse games coming out this year are on the 360. As it stands, the only real stand out exclusives on the PS3 are Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, and Resistance. Lair looks like it has potential, however I am reserving judgement on it.

This is a good poll question. I was wondering the same thing myself. Not that I'm going to buy one or the other, but if I was... This is good to know!

My PS1 is still going strong!

And I'd go for the XBOX for the Halo games. If I were to choose. I didn't vote.

i chose the 360, i own one myself and i love it soooooooooo much!!!
the xbox live doesnt cost taht much and when you first sign up to xbox live you get a 30 day free trial.

I still say that I would rather get the xbox 360.
I never really liked the PS consoles.
Most of the games are very boring and bland.
Yes, I understand about the blue ray thing,
but I don't really care about watching movies in really high def.

i think this poll is a bit biased many people are choosing alone from the great 'playstation vs xbox' which is better' arguement which has gone on for so long
I think i'm leaning towards the ps3 again though which was my original idea
mainly i want it for grand theft auto which is coming out on both consoles but i really want to play halo 2 and 3
