I prefer driving, unless it's on Danger Canyon.  Then I'd rather gun a rocket.

Q:  What has two thumbs and is finally playing Halo 2?

I prefer driving, but it depends on the map. geogrphylia (?) is my least favorite map. I can't drive that one at all, I prefer to gun on this one. I'll take the driver position if it is available on any other map. If i have to gun it has to be the chain, as I am horrible trying to shoot the rocket.

Thanks to Neo for this awesome sig!

Passenger, because that beautiful stick, that extra shot, and the timed nades gives your hog that slight advantage.

Driver.

Other than the odd genius lag-shot (90% luck, 1% rocket skill, 9% connection lag :P), gunning is just too frustrating on any but the Aussie server (especially on danger canyon)

It really depends on the map, players, and hogs available.

Overall: Driver

Death Island - Chain Gun
Infinity - Doesn't matter
Danger Canyon - Rocket Gun!
Blood Gulch - Driver (Any Hog)
Gep. - Driver (You can never get good shots with any gunner)
Sidewinder - Driver (I have a certain tactic at the beginning)
Timberland - Driver (Like Gep, few good shots)
Ice Fields - Driver (Like Gep, and Timberland you can't get many good shots)

Did I get every map? Hmm...

The thing with me is I love to gun, but I don't trust anyone else to drive but me...

I'm also somewhat of an artist with the chaingun as many of you probably know...

The ONLY map that I DESPISE driving in is Ice Fields, for obvious reasons.

I prefur to gun with the rockets because on timberland there is nothing better than hitting someone that just starts the first jump and smacking them in the face with your rocket. Blowing them sky high!

Gunner in a chain hog! I just love the accuracy and range of it, and at close range it is deadly against unprotected soldiers. It was a tough choice between driving and chain though...
