free online Risk style strategy game

I'm gonna kinda show my age here but i started playing risk (boardgame) atleast 15 yrs ago.
I've owned Risk2 and played it online for awhile but it sucks when sum1 quit or got DC'd it freezes the game for every1 and u have to start over. That said, if ur a Risk fan this site is a MUST MUST check out! Its ALL free with NO software to download. The game plays just like risk but they have TONS of maps.

They do have an upgrade for like $10 a yr but it doesnt really do alot 4 u really. Just allows you to be the host of a private passworded game i believe and lets u play more than 4 games at once.  If you do check this site out the main thing to know is when ur lookin for a game.... open the live chat tab and look 4 ppl wanting to play a "rt" game.... meens real time (u sit there n play). They do have games u can play if its not "rt" every player has like 24 hrs to make thier turn. The site automatically keeps track of ur wins losses etc. and gives u rank.... private, major,colonel, etc etc.   have fun with it... let me know if u play there... i'll hook up with ya's and play

It's not too bad when you're all on at the same time (and so games last around 30minutes - 1 hour). Playing over daily cycles is annoying to say the least.

getting a minimum of 3 of us together at same time is a MUST. like to play with 4-5 players tho... if everyone actually watches the game progress, (watch the other players take thier attack turn) they'd be ready to go right when its thier turn. you would have to set aside an hour to play tho.

By a tourney, I mean have a competition with, say, two initial games and the top X from those games play off against each other. Like a competition ladder.
