I do not think so. The MoBo has PCI slots and that is an AGP vid card. Give me a min to find a compatible card for speed, memory and price.

Edit: well the list is too long and as I was not sure which was more important to you (I go CPU, MoBo, VidCard personally) and if you really wanted the TV/DVI business, you can go here and they are in order of price.

[...]

I noticed that the banner says "AGP 8X," but the Description text says:

"In addition, support for the latest bus architecture--PCI Express--increases both graphics and overall system performance."
(I wonder what they (XFX, the manufacturer!) were thinking when they wrote that?!?!)

So I went to the manuf' website to check out the real story and sure enough, it's AGP, so yeah, it won't work with that mobo.

Oddly, all the manufacturer's spec's say that, and I can't tell from even the enlarged image of the board which bus it is?!?!

? ! ? ! ? !

Um, here's a version of THE EXACT SAME BOARD with THE EXACT SAME NAME in PCI-E?!

I'm SOOOO confused!

[english]The card has the type of plug it uses listed in the title as one thing and in the description as another. The manufacturer lists it as what the title says, but the manufacturer also has that description for all the cards. Plus you cannot tell from the picture, what type of plug it really is.[/english] (!
Currently traveling through the unknown times in my life. I will be back when i find myself.

Shorter version: That Graphics Adapter (GA) comes in EITHER AGP 8x OR PCI-E, but you can't tell which one you'd get from the site (zipzoomfly) you gave....

Oh man have I got some stuff that I wanna sell to YOU!!  ;D

No, it never seems to work out that way, trust me!

Give them a call/email them and ask SPECIFICALLY if the board has a PCI-E formfactor....

Wow, sry, but if you're going to talk to them on the phone about this - much less build your own system - you might wanna bone up on the PC basic "what goes into what" lingo here (vid-card-specific lingo here, first 6 paragraphs )....

In other words: It doesn't get more "english" than what I said, really....  :(  :-\

...But I'll try another approach:

1) if you're SURE you're going to get it through zipzoomfly, call them and ask them whether the card they're selling is REALLY AGP 8x OR PCI-E (OR PCI-E-compatible, which is really called High-Speed Interconnect (HSI) capable.)  :-\

2) Otherwise, do a Google search for that card as a PCI-E version* and simply buy one of those, which will CERTAINLY be a PCI-E (HSI) version....

* FYI: Most of these links are dead-ends, but keep going and you'll find the card available from several places - including TigerDirect - for ~$60.....

ok so heres whats happening:

I described to Reaper's dad what had happened when my pc started shooting out smoke (the image on the monitor turned all blocky and purple) and he said it was my video card, and that reaper had one to sell to me that was better than my old one, so today i am going over there to get it put in. i should be back, if that is indeed what went wrong.

well........that was only part of the problem. the motherboard and power supply are shot, and i'm not sure about the processor.
