*FIXED* <panicky voice> HELP!
« on: August 10, 2008, 03:29:59 PM »
This is uber-not-good ... got a prompt earlier on the 'Checking for Updates' dialog in Multiplayer that said 'You must have Administrator Privileges to download this required update'

I am the ONLY admin account on my computer, in fact the only account period!  HELP!  :embarrassed:  :'(

Modified the title because you've fixed your problem! Glad to see everything worked out. :)

Ok, Well this happened to me when I started up Halo to run the update

1. Go to my computer

2. Go to local drive C:

3. Go to Program Files

4. Go to Microsoft Games (If you have it, if not, go to Halo)

5. Once your in the Halo folder, Scroll down untill you see an application called 'haloupdate'

6. Run the application

That or download the update patch and run it separately.

Or right click on Halo shortcut and select Run as Adminstrator.

No problem, glad to help out!

Halo's too important to be left un-updated
