Welcome to my thread on the Summer Beijing Olympic Medal Tally. I know that i am a bit late in putting this up but that doesn't matter, it is up now and will be updated quite frequently. Please do not complain that i might be one medal off, i will put it on just im not updating it everytime a country gets a medal, I Like Sleep   At the time of writing this i will only put the countries up that have got themselves a medal, either gold silver or bronze!!

~Please Note, For some reason they are not strait when I put the countries and there medals on the same line, I've looked and looked but cannot find why it is not showing properly. If you get confused it is directly across from the country and down.. Sorry, trying to fix~

You should not get the results any earlier than us in America or Europe.  We have live coverage of the Olympics here (Although it is generally at night or early morning), so NBC updates their medal count as soon as it happens in China.

Yh i know we get it live aswell.. but only the Australian teams..

...And the Official Beijing 2008 Olympic website has a pretty up-to-date version as well! (Why not just link to theirs instead of doing all that work?  )

FYI: The coverage through their website has been great!  (And available in FIVE languages!*)

The only problem I've had is that the "Today's Medalist" page is always on a "sry, pending update..." message from each day's close (in China) until the next day's first medal is awarded, which means you can't use it to see a summary of the previous day's action.... 

The live TV coverage has been excellent here, too! (US Pacific + 9 == Beijing) I've been up watching it almost every night!

TV coverage has been awesome, Mxy is right. We are two hours ahead of Beijing so we can watch it basically whenever it is on!

And I agree - the results from the Beijing website are excellent. It is well maintained.

Australia's beginning to do our classic "Oh well, we can't be bothered winning gold so let's win a tonne of silver and bronze instead"

We always end up with 2nd or 3rd highest medal count but never enough gold :K

(Currently 5 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze, 5th overall but 3rd in medal count)
