360 just RROD (Red Ring of Death)  :mad:

::::sigh:::: Here's to sending it back to be fixed, along with me keeping the Hard drive in my hands, as that has too much on it to lose.

This has happened to me several times  :'( good thing thoug when it did happen I happened to live in a place where some one could fix  it up for me :)

my xbox did that once when it was really hot in the room. I turned it off, put the AC up and about 10 mins later it was fine. Try taking a can on air, the ones that only have air in them and blowing it out really good. I'd do that at least once a month, it prevents it from slogging with dust and over heating

I also got a stand like think so that i can stand the xbox up on its side with 2 fans in it and that help alot with over heating

i bought my 360 at gamecrazy and they offer their own warrantees. what i like about their warrantee is that you get a new/refurbished 360 when you leave the store (which costs you your warrantee but you can buy a new one there) what they do is send your non-working 360 back to microsoft and they have people try and fix it (which takes over 2 weeks if you use the MS warrantee. so if you end up having to get and new 360 i suggest just buying an arcade 360 from GameCrazy and putting you old hard drive into it and buying their warrantee (which is somwthing like 40-50$ for 2 years? (i forget but i had to do it over summer vaction)

I had the RROD.  It is really frustrating but MS has a pretty good system in place to get it fixed.  They shipped me the a box to put it in then I shipped it off and in a couple weeks I got it back.  It did not cost me anything and I did not have any special warrenty on it.  From what I understand it is a defect that they have a fix for it now.

Xsix bro you know that it is my xbox and that i got the stand lol.
you can get some mods done to ur xbox that keep it alot cooler like putting in better fans or getting external fans.

It is possible to fix it yourself. Permenantly.

You don't have to send it away.

Look it up on Youtube, I fixed one before, under instruction and had no idea what I was doing, but it worked after perfectly  :)

Even though the RROD sucks, using a can if air on the inside, actually voids the warranty. Hard to believe, but that's what is true.

Also, I wouldn't advice to fix it yourself, as the warranty is also void if you take it apart. :XD:

Doesn't Microsoft fix the RROD even if the Xbox isn't covered anymore?
