Youtube links on this site

For what ever reason I cannot view youtube links from this site all i get is a white screen
does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Not sure, but would guess you need to install/upgrade Flash?

Or your browser security settings don't allow it.

Can you access youtube from within OTHER sites? Directly?


Are you trying to access it from someplace like a library, or school that might be BLOCKING the site? (My school district does this....)

Or is there "parental control" software installed on that machine?...

I'm trying it in my own home Mxy and I don't think theres parental control programs installed, but at school I can acces youtube links. It just seems to be my two computers

Um, you cannot access youtube from EITHER your two computers?!? 

That sure sounds like it's being blocked then....

Or is it just that you cannot access youtube through the BFM forums (from either computer?)

Are you waiting for it to load and it never loads up? Or does it stop loading and all you're left with is a blank screen? Because sometimes it takes a while for the links on here to load for me

If running Vista, then there's Parental Controls built in.

I just cannot acces youtube links from both computers on the BFM forums but it works on any other computer I've tried it on.
And I'm not running Vista

...But does it work from either/both of those computers when you try to go to youtube DIRECTLY?  I.e. When NOT in the BFM forums....

So to recap: You can view youtube as normal from each of your two computers, UNLESS you are viewing the (Youtube) video from within the BFM forums??

What browser are you using?

Have you tried viewing it with a different browser? (If so, with similar results, I'd guess....  )

Have you tried checking the two things Kiwi mentions in his (the second) post in this thread?

I use IE7, and I have safari on one of my computers but that says i need to upgrade flash but normal IE doesn't and no I can't view youtube links from this site directly but can view youtube from the youtube site...

um, then, ... you probably need to update your Flash in IE 7?!?

Follow this link and click on the "Get Flash Player 10" button. (If you do it this way it will figure out what OS, browser and version you need and take you directly to a link to download/install it....)
