how many grams of gold can be removed from 35g of AuCl3?

Well, im not entirely sure about how to do this, but from what i remember, i think its 22.7276324 grams.

I found the atomic mass of both elements, found the percentage of the gold. Then took that percentage of the 35 grams.

Again, im not sure the is the correct way to do it, im sure moles are involved somehow O.o.

ya ya whatever, but that was one out of 50 probloms so... and it was 22.75g rounded

its the % of mass in that element times the amount of grams.

Um, if it didn't then you should ask the person supplying the question exactly HOW they got any AuCl3?!?!   :o    :o
