For others who don't know about it: It was a show about a fictitious rock & roll music radio station. One Thanksgiving they decided to do a promotional stunt and give away turkeys in a grocery store parking lot.
Hundreds showed up at the store parking lot, awaiting their free holiday turkeys. Les Nessman - their milk toast "on the scene newsman" - was doing the live broadcast, and much to his surprise a helicopter bearing WKRP signage shows up, and the imbecile coordinator of the event begins to toss
live tom turkeys out of the helicopter, some 100 feet up!
The given quote was his astonished cries as they splattered on the pavement below, people running in all directions!
